Building belonging among the immigrant communities of the Teton region.

An alternative information network

Voices has built a direct communication channel with local immigrant communities in the Tetons. Our network reaches 400+ households of some of the hardest to reach community members from 17 different countries.

Inclusive process building

Voices works to ensure that the needs, experiences and voices of immigrant communities are included in community processes such as surveys, focus groups and dialogue spaces.

Immigrant leadership development

Voices trains immigrant leaders interested in supporting their communities. We support the self efficacy and resiliency of aspiring leaders so they can represent their communities in decision making spaces.

The Teton region is the most unequal place in the USA.

Teton County, WY, has the highest concentration of wealth per household in the country, while also home to large immigrant communities that make up more than 20% of the total population. However, the inequality of the region transcends wealth disparity – the marginalization of immigrant communities and lack of social cohesion in the Teton region creates a community where a large percentage of the population is excluded from experiencing true community belonging. Voices is here to change that.

Thriving leaders

Voices is proud to have supported our immigrant leaders in 10 public leadership roles in organizations across the Teton region in 2022. Our leadership pipeline is working!
